Product warranties
Warranty Policy
Manufacturer warranty coverage, claim documentation, conditions, exclusions, and Nexus's role in a claim.
Effective date:
Manufacturer warranties
Nexus is an independent reseller, and warranty coverage is generally provided by the product manufacturer. Coverage varies by manufacturer, product, material, application, location, installation method, environment, warranty period, and other requirements. Review the current manufacturer warranty before purchasing when warranty coverage matters to the project.
Nexus warranty
Unless expressly stated in writing, Nexus does not provide an independent manufacturer's warranty for products it resells. Nothing in this policy eliminates a warranty or consumer right that applicable law does not allow Nexus to exclude.
Starting a warranty claim
Contact complaints@nexusbuildingcomponents.com and provide the order number, customer name, product information, delivery date, installation date if applicable, a description of the alleged defect, photographs, relevant project information, and other reasonably requested details. Do not email payment-card data or other sensitive information.
Warranty review
Nexus may submit a claim to the manufacturer or supplier. The reviewer may request photographs, samples, inspection, installation documents, purchase records, project information, proof of proper installation or maintenance, and other supporting records.
Manufacturer determination
Where a manufacturer warranty applies, the manufacturer generally decides coverage and remedy. Depending on the warranty, a remedy may include repair, replacement, credit, refund, or another remedy specified by the manufacturer.
Warranty conditions
A manufacturer warranty may require proper storage, handling, installation, approved use, maintenance, and compliance with specified environmental conditions. Failure to satisfy warranty requirements may affect coverage.
Common exclusions
Coverage may exclude improper installation, storage, or handling; modification or unauthorized repair; misuse or neglect; failure to follow instructions; excluded environmental conditions; normal wear; post-delivery damage; improper maintenance; and other exclusions in the applicable manufacturer warranty. The actual manufacturer warranty controls.
Installation
Unless expressly stated in writing, Nexus does not warrant installation by customers, contractors, installers, or other third parties. Customers must ensure installation follows manufacturer requirements, laws, codes, and responsible professional direction.
Engineering and design
A manufacturer warranty does not establish that a product is suitable for a particular project. Customers must obtain appropriate architectural, engineering, structural, or other professional advice where required.
Warranty transfer
Transferability varies by manufacturer and product. Review the applicable warranty for assignment and transfer restrictions.
Nexus's role in a manufacturer claim
To the extent permitted by law, Nexus's role is limited to helping the customer communicate with the applicable manufacturer or supplier. The manufacturer warranty controls its scope, duration, exclusions, and remedies.
