Terms for using this website and for any quote or order that Nexus separately accepts in writing.

About Nexus

Nexus Building Components is an independent reseller of building materials and building components. Nexus may source products from manufacturers, distributors, suppliers, warehouses, and other third-party fulfillment partners. Nexus does not manufacture every product it may offer.

Nexus's role as a reseller

For an order Nexus accepts in writing, Nexus acts as seller or reseller unless the order documents expressly state otherwise. A manufacturer, distributor, supplier, warehouse, carrier, or other fulfillment partner may appear on product packaging, shipping documents, delivery vehicles, freight documents, or other fulfillment records.

Nexus may select a supplier or fulfillment partner based on product availability, geographic location, pricing, lead time, freight requirements, and other operational considerations. Third-party fulfillment does not by itself change the customer's purchase relationship with Nexus.

Website and product information

Nexus makes reasonable efforts to present accurate product descriptions, specifications, images, dimensions, colors, availability, and pricing references. Manufacturer and supplier information may change without notice. Product images are illustrative and may not exactly represent final products, packaging, color, finish, or configuration.

Customers are responsible for reviewing current product documentation and confirming that a selected product is appropriate for the intended application before ordering or installation.

Product suitability

Unless Nexus expressly agrees otherwise in writing, Nexus does not determine whether a product is suitable for a specific building, project, design, structural system, site condition, code requirement, or intended application. Nexus does not provide architectural, engineering, structural engineering, permitting, surveying, installation, or code-compliance services through this website.

Customers are responsible for obtaining required professional advice, permits, approvals, and inspections.

Product availability

All products are subject to availability. A product displayed on the website, including a saved supplier reference, does not guarantee current supplier availability.

If a product becomes unavailable after Nexus accepts an order, Nexus may offer an alternative, provide a revised lead time, cancel the affected portion, or refund the amount paid for the unavailable portion, subject to applicable law and the order documents.

Pricing

Published product prices are Nexus selling prices. The order review adds the applicable freight once per order; Stripe checkout calculates any applicable tax and displays the payable total before payment. Unpriced products, unresolved specifications, and quoted freight require confirmation before online purchase. Prices for new checkouts may change with approved pricing rules, supplier prices, quantities, or delivery requirements.

Nexus may correct a typographical, technical, supplier, or pricing error before accepting an order. If Nexus cancels an accepted and paid order because of such an error, Nexus will refund the amount paid for the canceled portion.

Quotes

A Nexus quote is valid only for the period stated on it. A quote is not an accepted order until Nexus confirms acceptance in writing or processes it for fulfillment. Quotes may change because of material pricing, freight, taxes, availability, specifications, or supplier requirements.

Order information and acceptance

Customers must review product, quantity, dimensions, specifications, color or finish, shipping address, billing information, delivery requirements, and special instructions before submitting an order through an authorized order channel.

Nexus may accept, reject, limit, or cancel an order where a product is unavailable, pricing is incorrect, supplier requirements cannot be met, shipping is unavailable, the product is discontinued, fraud or unauthorized activity is suspected, or required information is incomplete or inaccurate. An order is accepted only when Nexus provides an order confirmation or otherwise confirms acceptance in writing.

Payment

Customers must use the payment method specified by Nexus. Orders may not be released for fulfillment until required payment is received. Nexus may suspend or cancel an order if payment is declined, reversed, disputed, or not successfully collected.

Third-party suppliers and fulfillment

Nexus may purchase products from third-party manufacturers, distributors, or suppliers after accepting a customer order. Once Nexus submits an order to a supplier, the ability to cancel or modify it may be limited. Certain products may enter production, fabrication, processing, or shipment shortly after the supplier order is placed.

Delivery

Delivery dates and lead times are estimates unless Nexus expressly guarantees a date in writing. Orders may arrive in multiple deliveries from different suppliers or locations. The customer is responsible for ensuring that the delivery location is accessible and suitable for the required vehicle and delivery equipment.

Customer responsibilities

For an accepted order, customers are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate billing and shipping information.
  • Ensuring delivery access and having a recipient available when required.
  • Providing suitable unloading equipment or labor when required.
  • Inspecting products promptly upon delivery.
  • Properly storing products after delivery.
  • Following manufacturer handling and installation instructions.
  • Confirming that products are appropriate for the intended application.

Inspection and acceptance

Customers should inspect products promptly upon delivery and before installation, modification, cutting, fabrication, or use. Those activities may limit return, replacement, or warranty rights. Damage, shortage, and incorrect-product claims are governed by the Damage, Shortage & Incorrect Order Policy.

Returns and cancellations

Returns, cancellations, and refunds are governed by the Returns, Cancellations & Refunds Policy. Special-order, custom, fabricated, made-to-order, cut-to-length, or otherwise non-stock products may be non-returnable and may become non-cancellable after Nexus submits the supplier order or production begins.

Warranties

Products may be covered by warranties from their manufacturers. Those warranties are subject to the manufacturer's terms, limitations, exclusions, and claim procedures. Nexus does not provide a separate product warranty unless expressly stated in writing. See the Nexus Warranty Policy.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Nexus is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from the purchase, delivery, installation, use, inability to use, or performance of a product. Where legally permitted, Nexus's liability is limited to the amount actually paid to Nexus for the product giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Force majeure

Nexus is not liable for delay or failure to perform caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, fire, flood, war, government action, transportation disruption, labor disputes, supply shortages, manufacturing disruption, cyber incidents, or similar events.

Intellectual property

Website text, graphics, logos, images, designs, and other materials owned by Nexus are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Nexus-owned content may not be reproduced, distributed, modified, or used without prior written permission, except as permitted by law.

Privacy

Nexus's handling of customer and visitor information is governed by the Privacy Policy.

Changes and severability

Nexus may update these Terms. The version applicable to an accepted order will generally be the version in effect when the order was accepted, unless law or a written agreement requires otherwise. If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
