Privacy Policy

How Nexus handles browser-only tools, direct communications, transaction records, limited site measurement, and privacy requests.

Effective date:

Optional construction and product assistant

The Nexus AI assistant sends a question and, on a product detail page, that product's public page path to Cloudflare only when you press Send. It is for construction and Nexus product questions. Do not include personal information, quote details, passwords, payment information, or other sensitive content. Supply Checklist entries are not sent to the assistant.

The browser stores only an opaque assistant session token in session storage. Questions and answers stay in page memory and are not saved by the Nexus application. The assistant service keeps pseudonymous session and usage counters to enforce limits. Cloudflare processes requests under its own service terms and privacy practices. The conversation is masked from optional Microsoft Clarity analytics.

Information Nexus may receive

If you contact Nexus directly or complete a separately accepted transaction, Nexus may receive contact information, company name, mailing or delivery address, quote or order details, delivery instructions, purchase history, and customer-service communications. Provide only information reasonably needed for the request.

Payment information

When you choose checkout, Nexus sends your selected product configurations to its server to calculate selling prices and freight. When you continue to secure payment, Nexus sends the delivery and contact information you entered, the order details, and the confirmed prices to Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's hosted checkout page and are not collected by the Nexus application. Stripe processes payment information under its own privacy policy. Do not send card details by email or enter them in the Supply Checklist.

Nexus stores the order reference, product selections, confirmed price and freight amounts, delivery state, Stripe references, and payment status. Delivery and contact details are retained in Stripe; the checkout form does not save them to browser storage. A necessary, HTTP-only browser cookie lets you view your order's payment status for up to two days. Temporary checkout-abuse counters use a keyed IP hash and expire after twenty minutes. The browser-only Supply Checklist remains separate from purchasing and does not send its entered information.

Stripe Privacy Policy

Limited technical information

Nexus records limited aggregate site activity through Cloudflare for performance and content-use measurement. This aggregate record contains the page route, country code, response status, response time, and a coarse automation label. It does not include checklist or checkout entries, complaint-email content, IP addresses, query strings, or individual visitor profiles. Optional Microsoft Clarity measurement is described separately below.

Optional Microsoft Clarity analytics

If you choose Allow analytics, Nexus uses Microsoft Clarity to understand public-page navigation, clicks, scrolling, product interest, and the usability of the Supply Checklist. Clarity produces heatmaps and interaction recordings and may collect page addresses, referrer information, device and browser information, and identifiers stored in analytics cookies. Microsoft receives this measurement data and processes it under its Privacy Statement.

Clarity is not loaded until you allow analytics and is limited to public customer pages. Administration, private design, checkout, and payment-status pages are excluded. Supply Checklist fields and assistant conversations are masked. Custom events report action names, such as opening or completing a supply list; they do not include entered customer details, passwords, payment information, or order contents. The Supply Checklist works in your browser without transmitting, storing, emailing, or logging entered information. Completing it does not send a quote request, make a purchase, or create an accepted order.

You can decline analytics or change your choice using Analytics preferences in the footer. Nexus remembers the choice for up to 180 days in this browser. Declining after allowing analytics ends Clarity tracking in the current document and reloads the page without Clarity. Browser Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals keep Clarity disabled. Nexus does not grant advertising-storage consent to Clarity.

How Microsoft Clarity handles data

How Nexus uses information

Information received through an authorized customer-service or transaction channel may be used to answer questions, prepare or administer a quote, process an accepted order, arrange delivery, provide support, coordinate with suppliers and carriers, handle returns or warranty claims, prevent fraud, protect the business, comply with legal obligations, and maintain necessary records.

Information sharing

When reasonably necessary for an accepted transaction or legal obligation, Nexus may share relevant information with manufacturers, distributors, suppliers, fulfillment partners, freight carriers, payment processors, technology or hosting providers, professional advisers, and government or legal authorities. Nexus should provide only information reasonably needed for that purpose.

Marketing

Where applicable law permits, Nexus may send product, service, promotion, or company information to people who have provided an appropriate contact channel. Recipients may use the unsubscribe method in the communication or contact Nexus to opt out.

Cookies and similar technology

The site stores your optional-analytics preference in this browser. If you allow analytics, Microsoft Clarity may set analytics cookies to connect page visits into sessions. If you decline analytics, Nexus does not load Clarity. The shop and Supply Checklist remain usable regardless of your analytics choice.

Third-party services

The website may link to or integrate with third-party services that have their own terms and privacy policies. Nexus is not responsible for privacy practices of services it does not control.

Security and retention

Nexus uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, but no internet transmission or electronic storage system is completely secure.

Nexus may retain information as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain business and transaction records, comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect legitimate business interests.

Privacy rights

Depending on applicable law and location, a person may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of personal information; opt out of certain communications; request information about data use; or exercise other legal rights. Nexus may need information sufficient to verify and respond to a request.

Children, changes, and contact

The website is not intended for children below the age at which applicable law allows independent consent, and Nexus does not knowingly collect children's personal information in violation of law.

Nexus may update this policy and post a revised effective date. For a privacy question or rights request, contact complaints@nexusbuildingcomponents.com. Do not send payment-card data, passwords, government identification numbers, or other sensitive information by email.
