Fulfillment information
Shipping & Delivery Policy
Delivery terms for orders Nexus separately accepts in writing, including access, unloading, inspection, delays, and freight.
Effective date:
Delivery methods
Depending on the product, order size, supplier, and destination, an accepted order may be delivered by a manufacturer, distributor, supplier, freight carrier, parcel carrier, or another authorized fulfillment or transportation provider. The supplier or manufacturer may appear on shipping documents, packaging, labels, or delivery vehicles.
Delivery estimates
A delivery date or lead time is an estimate unless Nexus expressly confirms a guaranteed delivery date in writing. Estimates may change because of supplier production schedules, material or freight availability, carrier delays, weather, holidays, labor shortages, transportation disruption, manufacturing delay, or circumstances outside Nexus's reasonable control.
Nexus will make reasonable efforts to communicate material delivery changes when they become known.
Multiple shipments
An order may be divided into shipments that arrive on different dates, from different suppliers or locations, or through different carriers. All products in an order will not necessarily arrive in one delivery.
Shipping address
Customers must provide an accurate and complete delivery address. Additional charges may apply when a shipment must be redirected, re-delivered, stored, or otherwise handled because customer-provided delivery information was incomplete or incorrect.
Delivery access
Customers must ensure that the delivery location is reasonably accessible for the required vehicle and equipment. Before ordering, tell Nexus about narrow roads, low clearances, gates, steep grades, limited turning space, bridge or weight restrictions, restricted delivery hours, or other access limitations. Nexus or its suppliers may determine that a location is unsuitable for a requested delivery method.
Unloading
Unless the order confirmation says otherwise, the customer must provide the labor and equipment needed to unload the materials. Depending on the order, that may include a forklift, telehandler, crane, loading equipment, additional labor, or other suitable equipment. Confirm unloading requirements before accepting the order.
Delivery appointments
Some shipments require a delivery appointment. Customers must be available during the agreed window. Additional delivery, storage, or redelivery charges may apply when a customer is unavailable or unable to receive the shipment.
Delivery refusals
Do not refuse delivery solely because of minor cosmetic packaging damage. If material appears damaged, photograph the condition and note it on the delivery documentation whenever possible. Contact Nexus promptly about a wrong product, significant damage, or an obvious shortage under the Damage, Shortage & Incorrect Order Policy.
Inspection upon delivery
Inspect shipments immediately and before installation or use. Photograph:
- The entire shipment and packaging.
- Shipping labels and product identification.
- Visible damage and affected materials.
- Any apparent shortages.
Damaged materials
Damage claims are governed by the Damage, Shortage & Incorrect Order Policy. Do not install or modify visibly damaged material before contacting Nexus.
Storage after delivery
After delivery, customers are responsible for proper storage and protection. Follow current manufacturer storage and handling instructions. Improper storage may affect product condition and manufacturer warranty coverage.
Delivery delays
Nexus is not responsible for delays caused by suppliers, manufacturers, carriers, weather, transportation disruption, labor or material shortages, government action, or other circumstances outside its reasonable control. A delay does not automatically create a right to cancel or receive compensation unless applicable law or a written agreement provides otherwise.
Freight charges and restricted locations
Freight charges may vary by product, order size, destination, supplier, carrier, delivery method, special handling, and market conditions. Applicable charges must be stated in the quote or order confirmation before acceptance.
Some products require a commercial delivery location or special arrangements. Nexus may contact the customer before accepting an order when added delivery requirements apply.
